Blade Runner Soundtrack

I just watched Blade Runner for the first time, I know right? I’m actually sort of glad I waited as long as I did to watch it, it’s one of those movies that comes along very rarely and says to you after you’ve finished watching it: “hey, you know you’ll never get to re-experience watching this for the first time again”, I savored that feeling. As a matter of fact, the movie literally told me this in one of the final scenes with Deckard and Roy on the roof: “I’ve seen things you people wouldn’t believe: Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion; I’ve watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die.”  What a beautiful quote about the nature of memories. This was a remarkable film in every aspect, but especially the soundtrack! Seriously, this is the best soundtrack I have ever heard in any film; it even trumps Apocalypse Now and Ghost in the Shell’s soundtrack. It was created by Vangelis, and listening to it has put me on a quest to download similar sounding soundtracks!
